Baseball Recap: George C. Marshall Comes Up Short

George C. Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Woodbridge Vikings. The Statesmen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

George C. Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Woodbridge, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. George C. Marshall will challenge Herndon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woodbridge, they will head out to face off against Forest Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bruins will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
