Volleyball Recap: Chatham Central Comes Up Short

If Chatham Central was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of College Prep & Leadership Academy on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears lost 3-0 to the Bethany Community Wolves on Tuesday.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Bethany Community scored at least 21 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 25-22.

Addison Goldston paced Chatham Central's offense, picking up nine kills. Goldston got some help from Chloe Brewer and her eight assists. Sydney Sellers controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Chatham Central's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Bethany Community, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.

Chatham Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bethany Community, they will host Robbinsville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
