Softball Recap: Ida Baker Takes a Loss

Ida Baker lost against Riverdale back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Ida Baker fell 9-5 to Riverdale. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ida Baker saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaiden Nealeigh, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Allison Jacobs also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Ida Baker's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Riverdale, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Coming up, Ida Baker will head out to challenge Cape Coral at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cape Coral will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Ida Baker surely won't give up without a fight. As for Riverdale, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-5 loss against Gulf Coast on the 27th.
