Softball Recap: Arcadia Comes Up Short

Arcadia lost against Ada back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Redskins fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The Redskins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Arcadia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Carter, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. Allyson McCartney also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Arcadia's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Ada, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3.

Coming up, Arcadia will venture away from home to square off against Waynesfield-Goshen at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Redskins' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Ada, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Perry at 11:00 a.m.
