Basketball Recap: Hillsboro Has No Trouble Against North County

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Hillsboro on Friday. They strolled past the North County Raiders with points to spare, taking the game 71-52. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.

Hillsboro had a senior duo take command as Gunner Sutton dropped a double-double with 22 points and 12 boards and Gregory Robinson dropped a double-double with 14 points and 18 rebounds. The contest was Sutton's third in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Karson Campbell, who went 6-for-15 en route to 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Hillsboro smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Hillsboro and bumps their season record up to 13-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.5 points over those games. As for North County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.
