Basketball Game Preview: Greeley County Jackrabbits vs. Wallace County Wildcats

The Greeley County Jackrabbits are taking a road trip to take on the Wallace County Wildcats at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Greeley County will head into Tuesday's match on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against St. Francis on Tuesday. Greeley County claimed a resounding 55-27 win over St. Francis. Given the Jackrabbits' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Indians are ranked 322nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Wallace County posted their closest victory since December 12, 2023 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-57 win over Decatur Community.

Wallace County's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Greeley County, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Greeley County skirted past Wallace County 56-54 in their previous meeting last Tuesday. Will Greeley County repeat their success, or does Wallace County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
