Baseball Recap: Overton Comes Up Short

Overton lost against Hillsboro back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bobcats fell just short of the Burros by a score of 12-11.

Patrick Ware made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Overton has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-14 record this season. As for Hillsboro, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-8.

Looking ahead, Overton will square off against Cane Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Ravens have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.04 runs per game on average), something the Bobcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. Hillsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
