Soccer Recap: Donahue Catholic Falls Short of Indian Rocks Christian in the Playoffs

Donahue Catholic and Indian Rocks Christian squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Donahue Catholic had to settle for second. They came up short against the Indian Rocks Christian Eagles, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Shamrocks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Eagles are ranked 49th).

This is the second loss in a row for Donahue Catholic and nudges their season record down to 14-5-1. As for Indian Rocks Christian, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

Donahue Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Indian Rocks Christian, they will welcome Evangelical Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Indian Rocks Christian knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Evangelical Christian likes a good challenge.
