Basketball Recap: Father McGivney Catholic Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Father McGivney Catholic can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 59-30 loss at the hands of the Calhoun Warriors. The Griffins were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-9.

Father McGivney Catholic lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was David Carroll, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 14 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Chase Jansen was another key player, putting up 11 points and six boards.

Father McGivney Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 15-18. As for Calhoun, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season.
