Trevor Waters was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Four bases. while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.
In other pitching news, Mason Grady looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
Back at the plate, Greensboro Day School saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oliver Fisher, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Nick Salas also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
