Baseball Game Preview: Menasha Bluejays vs. West De Pere Phantoms

The Menasha Bluejays will head out on the road to take on the West De Pere Phantoms at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Menasha has given up an average of 9.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Menasha managed to slip by Pulaski the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bluejays came up short against the Red Raiders on Thursday, falling 20-6. On the bright side, the six- run performance marked the Bluejays' highest-scoring game to date.

De Pere hit West De Pere with a four-run first inning last Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Phantoms fell 9-5 to the Redbirds. The Phantoms have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West De Pere now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Menasha, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Menasha came out on top in a nail-biter against West De Pere when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. Do the Bluejays have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Phantoms turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
