On Thursday Violet Flynn struck out 18 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits (and not a single walk). The performance marked the most strikeouts Flynn has had since back in April of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her 17th in a row with more than five strikeouts. On the year, she has an ERA of .74 over 113 innings pitched.
