Softball Game Preview: Gorham Huskies vs. Pittsburg Panthers

The Gorham Huskies and the Pittsburg Panthers, after both having extra time off, will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Gorham has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight losses, while Pittsburg will come in with six straight wins.

Gorham lost 27-4 to Woodsville last Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Pittsburg was not the first on the board last Wednesday, but they got there more often. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over Moultonborough Academy. Pittsburg might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by six runs or more this season.

Pittsburg's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Gorham, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Gorham might still be hurting after the 20-0 loss they got from Pittsburg in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Huskies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
