Volleyball Recap: Fairlawn Comes Up Short

After flying high against Graham Local on Monday, Fairlawn came back down to earth. The Jets came up short against the Russia Raiders on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Jets were not able to make up for their loss to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-19, 25-12.

Maddy Miller paced Fairlawn's offense, picking up four kills. Miller got some help from Avah Roediger and her eight assists.

Fairlawn's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Russia, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Fairlawn will head out on the road to challenge New Bremen at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Russia, they will host Anna at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
