Soccer Game Preview: Greenbrier vs. Lakeside

The Greenbrier Wolfpack will square off against the Lakeside Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Saturday, Greenbrier came up short against McIntosh and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolfpack in their meetings with the Chiefs: they've now lost four in a row.

Greenbrier's goal came courtesy of Lucas Johnson, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Aiken. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Panthers couldn't quite close it out.

Greenbrier's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Lakeside, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
