Basketball Recap: Crandall's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Crandall had won two straight games and Dylan Franklin did his part to make it three on Tuesday. The Crandall Pirates took down the Terrell Tigers 57-41 thanks in part to Franklin, who went 11 for 17 on his way to 24 points. The game was his sixth in a row with at least ten points.

Lebron Mckelvy was another key player, going 8 of 14 en route to 16 points and four steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last nine times he's played.

Crandall's win bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Terrell, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crandall will host Midlothian Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Crandall knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Midlothian Heritage likes a good challenge. As for Terrell, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Terrell Tigers face off against the Ennis Lions at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
