Volleyball Recap: Eastmark Takes a Loss

If Eastmark was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Bradshaw Mountain on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Firebirds took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Agua Fria Owls on Friday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 18-25, 25-11, 25-15.

Logan Whitfield paced Eastmark's offense, picking up seven kills. Whitfield got some help from Noah Lytle and his 22 assists. Lytle was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Eastmark's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Agua Fria, they have been performing well recently as they've won 18 of their last 23 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season.

Eastmark does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Agua Fria, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against ALA - Queen Creek on the 13th.
