Meanwhile, Lakeview entered their tilt with Thomaston on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They snuck past the Bears with a 56-52 victory.

Lakeview's win came from a few key players Gilbert will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Patrick Weaving, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 18 points and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Guma, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points and five rebounds.

Gilbert's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lakeview, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
