Basketball Recap: Aline-Cleo Takes a Loss

Aline-Cleo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 33rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Cherokee Chiefs, falling 71-3. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 473rd, while the Chiefs are ranked 188th).

Aline-Cleo's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Cherokee, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Aline-Cleo Cougars challenge the Canton Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on January 14th. As for Cherokee, they will head out on the road to square off against Balko at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
