Basketball Recap: Cooper Shull's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lone Jack over Pleasant Hill

Lone Jack lost against Pleasant Hill back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The match between the Lone Jack Mules and the Pleasant Hill Roosters/Chicks didn't end well, with the Lone Jack Mules falling 70-52. The Mules have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lone Jack's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cooper Shull, who posted 21 points. Another player making a difference was Garrett Mantzey, who had 13 points.

Even though they lost, Lone Jack smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Lone Jack's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Pleasant Hill, their win bumped their record up to 11-12.

Lone Jack wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 84-50 loss against Barstow on the 20th. As for Pleasant Hill, they will head out on the road to challenge Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
