The Blackstone Valley RVT Beavers will head out on the road to take on the Bay Path RVT Minutemen at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.
Blackstone Valley RVT lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Montachusett RVT, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Beavers were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Bulldogs on Monday. The Beavers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Max Pilkington, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Alex Vosburgh was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Blackstone Valley RVT hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Bay Path RVT sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over Assabet Valley RVT on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Minutemen have posted against the Aztecs since May 24, 2018.
Max Lapriore was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
Blackstone Valley RVT pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bay Path RVT, their record is now 6-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Blackstone Valley RVT has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bay Path RVT struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Blackstone Valley RVT suffered a grim 17-6 defeat to Bay Path RVT in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Beavers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
