After a string of 17 wins dating back to last season, Oakland Tech's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They received a blow as they fell 79-65 to the DeLaSalle Islanders. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (61), the Bulldogs still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Oakland Tech lost, don't look at Ardarius Grayson. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 13 en route to 16 points along with five assists and three steals. The matchup was Grayson's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xan Meyer-Plettner, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Oakland Tech fell to 3-1.
