Basketball Recap: Hardee Comes Up Short

Hardee lost to Fort Meade back in December of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats took a blow against the Miners, falling 62-29. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Hardee's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Nolan Roberts, who posted nine points and five boards, and Victor Rodriguez, who put up seven points and three steals. Rodriguez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Meade to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mekhi Berrien, who had 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Omari Russell, who earned 15 points in addition to five boards and three blocks.

Hardee has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Fort Meade, the win keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.

Hardee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-22 victory against Sarasota Military Academy on the 19th. As for Fort Meade, they have also already played their next matchup, a 52-45 win against Moore Haven on the 21st.
