The Ballston Spa Scotties will take on the Pearl River Pirates at 11:05 a.m. on Saturday. Ballston Spa is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.

Ballston Spa's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over Hudson Falls. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Scotties have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Not much got past Makayla LaRose, who gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Hudson Falls off the board.

At the plate, Livia Wiltsie was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Pearl River made easy work of Nyack on Thursday and carried off a 16-2 win. The Pirates have beaten the Red Hawks the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Red Hawks has come to flipping the script.

With the victory, Ballston Spa broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-5. As for Pearl River, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
