Carlson and Grosse Ile are an even 3-3 against one another since June of 2016, but likely not for long. The Marauders will welcome the Devils at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Carlson is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Allen Park on Thursday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars. The loss put an end to the Marauders' undefeated start to the season.

Grosse Ile not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 24, 2025 (when they won 10-0). They blew past Riverview 11-1. The win continues a trend for the Devils in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won three in a row.

Riverview's batters probably weren't too happy with Matteo Gatti, who pitched a no hitter (he gave up three walks).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Max Myers, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolton Bodner, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Grosse Ile's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Carlson, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Everything went Carlson's way against Grosse Ile in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Carlson made off with a 12-0 win. Do the Marauders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
