Basketball Game Preview: South Rebels vs. Perry Pirates

Having just played yesterday, the South Rebels will head out on the road to face off against the Perry Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South will be strutting in after a win while Perry will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, South didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against North, but they still walked away with a 47-41 victory.

Perry has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 68-65 heartbreaker at the hands of Lake Catholic.

South is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points over those games. As for Perry, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

South beat Perry 69-62 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for South since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
