Football Game Preview: Paris Greyhounds vs. Morgan County Cougars + How To Watch

The Paris Greyhounds will face off against the Morgan County Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Paris took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Fairview 54-0. The result was nothing new for the Greyhounds, who have now won three matchups by 34 points or more so far this season.

Paris' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madi Bell, who rushed for 116 yards and three scores on only five carries. Those 116 rushing yards gave Bell a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brandon Smith-Santiago, who gained 137 total yards.

Paris' run defense was locked in: Fairview could only muster 2.9 yards per carry. The Greyhounds didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 14.1.

Meanwhile, Morgan County posted their closest win since October 11, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past West Carter 30-28. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Paris now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Morgan County, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Everything came up roses for Paris against Morgan County in their previous matchup back in September of 2022, as the team secured a 61-16 victory. Will the Greyhounds repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
