Soccer Recap: Ogemaw Heights Takes a Loss

After flying high against Clare on Tuesday, Ogemaw Heights came back down to earth. The Falcons came up short against the Standish-Sterling Panthers on Wednesday, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, Ogemaw Heights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Standish-Sterling are ranked 100th).

Ogemaw Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-3. As for Standish-Sterling, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ogemaw Heights will take on Sacred Heart Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Standish-Sterling, they will face off against Tri County Area at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
