Basketball Recap: Corona's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

After flying high against Lakeside last Wednesday, Corona came back down to earth. The Corona Panthers might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Chaparral Pumas an easy 58-35 victory. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Corona moved to 10-6 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak. As for Chaparral, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Corona and Rim of the World will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Corona is facing Rim of the World at the right time seeing as Rim of the World is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Chaparral, they will challenge Irvine at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
