Great Crossing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Campbell County Camels. On the bright side, the 35- point performance marked the Warhawks' highest-scoring contest to date.

Trevor Bertram had an outrageously good game for Campbell County as he rushed for 225 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry.

Great Crossing's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Campbell County, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6.

Coming up, Great Crossing will face off against Corbin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warhawks will need to watch out since the Redhounds have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Campbell County, they will take on Beechwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 8.4 points per game this season, so the Camels' offense will have their work cut out for them.
