Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Lorelai Castagna and Addison Wagner Lead Nazareth Area to Victory

Nazareth Area extended their road winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Mallory Garland. The Blue Eagles came out on top against the Easton Area Rovers by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday thanks in part to Garland, who had 18 digs and six aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last five games she's played.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 11-25, 25-17.

Leading Nazareth Area to victory were Addison Wagner and Lorelai Castagna. Wagner had nine digs and one assist, while Castagna had five digs and one block. The dominant performance also gave Castagna a new career-high in kills (three).

Nazareth Area was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive contests.

Nazareth Area now has a winning record of 10-9-1. As for Easton Area, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12-2.

As of now, neither Nazareth Area nor the Rovers have any future games scheduled.
