Basketball Recap: Clearview Clippers vs. Columbia Raiders
Clearview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 80-55 to the Columbia Raiders. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Clippers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-56 back in January.
Columbia's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bree Heidecker, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 19 boards. That's the most points Heidecker has posted since back in November of 2024. Kaitlyn Miller was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Clearview's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Columbia, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.
Clearview will face off against Wellington at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wellington will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Clearview surely won't give up without a fight. As for Columbia, they will challenge Oberlin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Columbia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55 points per game this season.
