The Washington Township Senators made easy work of the Mishawaka Marian Knights on Saturday and carried off a 15-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Senators, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Washington Township got a massive performance out of Clair Klinger, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Catie Wellensiek, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Washington Township always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Washington Township's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Mishawaka Marian, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-21.

Washington Township wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 23-6 win against Elkhart Christian Academy on the 24th. As for Mishawaka Marian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-1 loss against South Bend Saint Joseph on the 26th.
