Basketball Recap: Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears vs. Wynot Blue Devils
After a string of four wins, the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Wynot by a score of 47-44. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge still got an impressive performance from Mallory Eriksen, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Rena Rasmussen was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Wynot, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. As for Wynot, they will face off against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Plainview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
