Basketball Recap: Northwest Takes a Loss

Northwest entered their match against Bell on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Northwest Texans took a 55-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bell Blue Raiders. If the Texans were looking for revenge after losing 45-28 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Madi Capers was her usual excellent self, going 7 for 9 on her way to 16 points and eight rebounds for Bell. Capers' evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Hannah Due was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Northwest now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Bell, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Keller Central the next time they take the court. Northwest will head out to face Keller Central at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, while Bell will host them at 5:45 p.m. on December 17th.
