Salesianum extended the longest winning streak in Freelance this week by beating Avon Grove, 42-0. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Caravel took down Poly 43-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Pierce Ripanti ran for 124 yards in the win.
George Murray was the best wideout in the league this week as the Buccaneers beat the Panthers. Murray racked up three receptions for 84 yards. Aaron Hudson helped Caravel's passing attack out by catching one ball for 41 yards.
Zachary Whitehead put up the best numbers through the air as St. Mark's topped Sussex Tech. He finished with 11 completions for 138 yards and one touchdown. Whitehead's favorite target this week was Deandre Davis, who caught four passes for 60 yards.
St. Elizabeth's Christian Gwynn and Andre Patton have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Gwynn has thrown for 1134 yards this season, while Patton, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 37 catches for 531 yards. Ripanti from Caravel leads the league in rushing with 687 yards.
The marquee game in Freelance this week will be the clash between Delaware Military Academy and the Spartans. Delaware Military Academy enters the contest ranked 12th in the state, while St. Mark's ranks second.
Sam Paoli's team and the Vikings played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Sam Paoli's team eventually emerging with a 20-14 victory.
