Basketball Game Preview: St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders vs. Litchfield Dragons

The St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders and the Litchfield Dragons will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While St. Cloud Cathedral didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They snuck past Foley with a 53-49 victory on Friday. The 53-point effort marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Litchfield had to endure an eight-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Dassel-Cokato by a score of 64-57 on Friday. The Dragons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

St. Cloud Cathedral's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Litchfield, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

St. Cloud Cathedral won a match that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, slipping by Litchfield 76-75. Does St. Cloud Cathedral have another victory up their sleeve, or will Litchfield turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
