 Elida has been on the road for three straight, but  on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Floyd Broncos at 2:00  p.m.  on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.
 Elida's hitters might be in the hot seat  on Friday considering what happened against Gateway Christian  on Monday. They wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 14-0 walloping at the hands of the Warriors. Having soared to a lofty 12  runs in the game before, Elida's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Elida saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Coda Cathey, who  went 1-for-2 with three  stolen bases.
 Meanwhile, sadly, Floyd is still looking for their first win of the season after five  games. Their  tough  29-0 defeat to Gateway Christian  on Friday might stick with them for a while.

 Floyd's hitters will have their work cut out for them  on Friday. Elida has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 7.4  strikeouts per game.
