Softball Recap: Arroyo Valley Find Success

While Arroyo Valley's win against Notre Dame wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hawks had just enough and edged out the Titans 9-7. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Mariana Barlow spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Leilanny Limon, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylin Casillas, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Arroyo Valley's record now sits at 7-8-2. As for Notre Dame, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10-1 record this season.

Arroyo Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-9 win against Fontana on the 30th. As for Notre Dame, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-6 victory against Rim of the World on the 30th.
