Basketball Recap: First Baptist Has No Trouble Against Immanuel Lutheran

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Francis Christian, First Baptist was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 71-57 win over the Immanuel Lutheran Trojans.

First Baptist found their leader in sophomore Caleb Lindsay, who posted 35 points and six assists. With that strong performance, Lindsay is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. Another player making a difference was Jon Anaya, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 14 boards.

First Baptist was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

First Baptist's victory bumped their record up to 11-17. As for Immanuel Lutheran, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, First Baptist will venture away from home to take on Community Christian on Monday. As for Immanuel Lutheran, they will host First Baptist at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
