Football Recap: California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs vs. Foothills Christian Knights
California School for the Deaf-Riverside gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Foothills Christian Knights 68-28 at home. The victory was nothing new for the Cubs as they're now sitting on ten straight dating back to last season.
California School for the Deaf-Riverside's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Darius Zarembka and Isaiah Baxter-Davis. Zarembka got the majority of those yards when he pulled down a pass and and took off for a gain of53 yards.
The loss snapped Foothills Christian's winning streak at six games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-1 record.
California School for the Deaf-Riverside will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Avalon at 7:00 p.m. As for Foothills Christian, they are taking a road trip to square off against PAL Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
