Owensboro had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Woodford County Yellowjackets 49-6 on Friday. Considering the Red Devils have won 11 games by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Evan Hampton had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 266 yards and three TDs on only eight carries, while also picking up 51 receiving yards and one score. His longest rush was for an incredible 83 yards. Another player making a difference was DaMarcus Ganaway Jr, who threw for 176 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Owensboro was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 282 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Woodford County only rushed for 111.

Owensboro didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ty Ashley and Tre Shemwell. Shemwell got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
