Volleyball Recap: St. Edward Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

The St. Edward Eagles earned a 3-1 victory over the Mentor Cardinals on Friday.

St. Edward walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 27-29, 25-12, 25-16.

Davion Tan-Nguyen was nothing short of spectacular: he had 22 digs and six assists. Those six assists gave him a new career-high.

St. Edward has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Mentor, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Edward will take on St. Ignatius at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mentor, they will square off against Shaker Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals are facing the Red Raiders at the right time seeing as the Red Raiders are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
