Softball Recap: American Falls Extends Winning Streak to Three

American Falls entered their tilt with Snake River on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Panthers. This was a revenge game for the Beavers: when they faced off against the Panthers last Monday, they had to take a 11-6 defeat.

McKenzie Mendez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, American Falls got a big performance out of Destiny Torres, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Those three hits gave Torres a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Mendez, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

American Falls was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .364 or higher in four consecutive contests.

American Falls' win bumped their record up to 9-16. As for Snake River, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.

American Falls didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 loss against Preston on the 3rd. Snake River does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
