Volleyball Recap: Bryan Comes Up Short

Bryan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the Bellevue West Thunderbirds, falling 3-0. If the Bears were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Thunderbirds when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-15, 25-12.

Bellevue West's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Claire Monjarez-Palermo, who had ten digs and five aces. That's the most aces Monjarez-Palermo has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Miller, who had seven digs and three aces.

Bryan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-23. As for Bellevue West, they pushed their record up to 8-20 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Bryan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Omaha Central on the 15th. As for Bellevue West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Millard South on the 11th.
