Basketball Game Preview: Ladue Horton Watkins Rams vs. Lindbergh Flyers

The Ladue Horton Watkins Rams will venture away from home to square off against the Lindbergh Flyers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Tuesday, Ladue Horton Watkins came up short against Kirkwood and fell 55-46. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Lindbergh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 55-45 to Parkway South. While losing is never fun, the Flyers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 416th, while the Patriots are ranked 152nd).

Lindbergh's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Ladue Horton Watkins, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Ladue Horton Watkins came out on top in a nail-biter against Lindbergh when the teams last played back in January of 2024, sneaking past 44-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ladue Horton Watkins since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
