It was a good run, but Nash Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They were beaten by the Rocky Mount Gryphons 67-21. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-11.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of JaKayla Gay and Jayden Baggett, who each put up six points. Cameron Fate held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

It was another big night for Kira Jones, who went 7 of 14 en route to 17 points along with six steals and three blocks for Rocky Mount. Jones is crushing it when it comes to points: she's scored at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Keysha Mizzell was another key player, going 5 for 11 on her way to 12 points and four steals.

Nash Central's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Rocky Mount, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.
