Climax-Scotts entered their tilt with Colon on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Magi. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Magi, too.

Carter Dzwik made a big impact no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 15 over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Dzwik wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Eyre, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Climax-Scotts pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Colon, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-2.

Coming up, Climax-Scotts will be playing at home against Bellevue at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Broncos at the right time seeing as the Broncos are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Colon, they are taking a road trip to square off against Bronson at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Magi's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
