Baseball Game Preview: Weston Silver Eagles vs. Seneca Indians

The Weston Silver Eagles will take on the Seneca Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Weston fell victim to De Soto and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 11-0. The loss continues a trend for the Silver Eagles in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost three in a row.

Weston saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Jennings, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Seneca also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell just short of Cashton by a score of 2-0 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Indians have suffered since April 3, 2025.

Gage Wall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits.

Weston now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Seneca, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Weston couldn't quite finish off Seneca when the teams last played back in May of 2025 and fell 7-5. Can the Silver Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
