Baseball Recap: Battle's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Battle). Everything went their way against the Centralia Panthers on Friday as Battle made off with a 10-1 victory. The Spartans not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 22, 2024.

Battle's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for Centralia, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Battle will host Helias at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Helias' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Battle's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Centralia, they are taking a road trip to square off against Clark County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Clark County has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.8 runs per game on average), something Centralia will no doubt try to take advantage of.
